  • Teaching Assistant (full and part-time) - Warwick Junior School

    Warwick Junior School is seeking to appoint a caring and professional Teaching Assistant, with experience of working across the ability range in Key Stage 2, including with more able pupils and those with SEND. The successful candidate will be a team player, but also be confident and pro-active in supporting the pastoral and academic needs of all the pupils. A willingness to support all members of the community in making the most of the opportunities on offer is important. 

    This is a great opportunity for a highly qualified and experienced individual, as the school seeks to build on the success of winning Independent Boys School of the Year for 2022 and deliver on our vision of being the most inspiring, rounded, and caring boys’ school in the UK. 

    The role is for 37 hours per week, for 35.4 weeks per year. The role is Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00 with a 36 minute unpaid lunch break.  There is the possibility of part-time hours.  Please indicate in your application if you are interested in this and the number of hours you are interested in. 

    The salary scale for this role is Point 16 – to Point 19 - £23,085 - £24,754 FTE, actual salary is £18,406 - £19,736 pro-rated for the full-time role.

  • Teaching Assistant - Warwick Preparatory School

    We are seeking to appoint two outstanding and innovative Teaching Assistants from September 2024. One position is full-time and the other part-time. 

    The successful candidates will have an excellent rapport with young children, have relevant experience and qualifications, be committed to the highest standards of educational provision and be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Warwick Preparatory School. 

    The Teaching Assistants will provide support to the pupils in both the curriculum and pastorally, helping to raise standards by ensuring high expectations are set and adhered to.  They will provide support to the teacher by supervising particular activities or groups and general admin support (marking, photocopying etc.).  

    The salary scale for this role is Point 16 to Point 19:  

    FTE: £23,085 - £24,754 per annum. (The annual pay will be paid pro rata in accordance with the agreed hours of   work).

    The positions are working Monday to Friday with the actual working times to be agreed.

  • Casual Sports Coach - King's High School and Warwick Preparatory School

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic sports coach who ideally will have specialisms in a wide range of sports to start as soon as possible . 

    The successful candidate will be asked to deliver training sessions throughout the year at after-school practices and where appropriate may be asked to assist in lessons where needed. The ability to assist at fixtures during the week and weekends is of benefit.

    It is to be stressed that these opportunities are open to all pupils (Year 7-13), there may on occasions be the need to work with younger pupils from our Preparatory School. We expect there to be an appropriate balance between the teaching and improvement of technique and enjoyment of the activity. 

    This is an opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a passion and expertise in sport to work with ambitious and talents pupils.

    Experience

    Of a relevant nature and preferably experience in teaching young people.

    Qualifications (both professional and teaching)

    Coaching qualifications in a number of sports. Additional sports delivered through our co-curricular programme will be considered.

    Salary: Dependent upon qualifications and experience.

  • Casual Cover Supervisor - Warwick School

    We are seeking to appoint candidates to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the teacher under the guidance of teaching/senior staff to start as soon as possible.  Including such activities as

    • Implementing work programmes,
    • Managing pupil behaviours,
    • Assisting pupils in relevant activities,
    • Supervising co-curricular activities,
    • Supervising students on trips and visits,
    • Supervising students from other schools involved in our Outreach programme.

    All of the above in line with the school’s policies and procedures.

    Salary scale: 16 - 19 dependent upon experience.  £14.04 - £15.05 per hour including holiday (£12.00 - 12.87 per hour excluding holiday).

    King’s High and Warwick Prep has an excellent reputation as a leading institute for boys from age 3 – 7 and girls from age 7 - 18 in the local and regional area.  The Sports Gap Assistant role would involve working full time across both the Prep and Senior School.

    We are looking for a dynamic candidate who has demonstrated proven ability in at least one of our major sports.  The post is ideal for those considering a career in teaching.  They will have the ability to coach at least one sport to a high level and be confident officiating at least two other sports.

    The Sports Gap Assistant will be expected to be heavily involved in the extra-curricular provision both during the week and at weekend fixtures.

    Teaching

    Assisting with planning and preparing of lessons

    Assisting the PE department in the delivery of curriculum PE lessons where necessary

    Under the direction of staff, recording and reporting on the development, progress/attainment of pupils

    Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils, and groups of pupils.

    Following the agreed policies in the Departmental Handbook with regard to such matters as programmes of study, teaching methods, differentiation.

    Assisting with the co-ordination and organisation of School competitions.

    Running a number of teams in the senior schools throughout the year.

     

    This role is term time only (35.4 weeks per year). It is a one year fixed term contract. The actual salary is £17,120.
