Community

We are passionate about working closely with schools, organisations and charities within the local community in order to maximise the positive impact we can make.

We are proudly part of a far-reaching, diverse, and ever-growing network of community partnerships, which enable the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and resources which further the progress of our charity’s purpose: enabling transformation through the power of education.

In 2023, for example, the diverse range of pupil-led, staff-led and foundation-led initiatives culminated in 390 staff hours given to community work, 20 state school partnerships and the engagement of over 1000 state school pupils (ISC annual Census 2023).

The Foundation offers Swim School, Holiday Action and Sports Camps for children in the local community to; benefit from the unique facilities available at our schools; enjoy a plethora of activities led by experienced specialist providers; and interact and play with other children in a safe and caring environment, outside of the traditional school setting.

Our collaboration with the community also extends to the Foundation’s partnerships; with Orchestra of the Swan, facilitating unique opportunities such as the Swan Youth Orchestra for pupils across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull; with the Bridge House Theatre and the Bridge House Young Company, presenting a repertoire of professional productions such as ‘Nativity!’ alongside local community events; or with Warwick - A Singing Town, who work with local schools in the CV34 area and host a variety of hugely valuable community singing projects.

We are also proud hosts of the annual Future Fwd conference, which brings like-minded speakers and delegates together to focus on the skills that an education needs to provide in order for the current and future generations of pupils to make full and positive contributions to their communities and places of work.
