Sports Graduate Assistant (1 year FTC) - King's High School

King’s High and Warwick Prep has an excellent reputation as a leading institute for boys from age 3 – 7 and girls from age 7 - 18 in the local and regional area.  The Graduate PE Assistant role would involve working full time across both the Prep and Senior School.

We are looking for a dynamic Sports Graduate who has demonstrated proven ability in at least one of our major sports.  The post is ideal for those considering a career in teaching.  They will have the ability to coach at least one sport to a high level and be confident officiating at least two other sports.

The graduate assistant will be expected to be heavily involved in the extra-curricular provision both during the week and at weekend fixtures.

Teaching

Assisting with planning and preparing of lessons.

Assisting the PE department in the delivery of curriculum PE lessons where necessary.

Under the direction of staff, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.

Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils, and groups of pupils.

Following the agreed policies in the Departmental Handbook with regard to such matters as programmes of study, teaching methods, differentiation.

Assisting with the co-ordination and organisation of School competitions.

Running a number of teams in the senior schools throughout the year.

The role is term time only (35.4 weeks per year), 37 hours per week (full time) and is offered on a one-year fixed term contract.  The actual salary for the role is £17,120.  Further information can be found in the Applicant Information Pack below - the closing date for completed applications is Tuesday 23th April 2024 at 12 noon.
