Singing Medicine

Annabel (Y9) from King's High School has been busy with musical activities during lockdown, finding singing and making music to be as important for her own wellbeing as it is for others.

She has recently recorded her song 'Monday Morning' as an interactive Singing Medicine film for children who are isolated at home or in hospital. The Singing Medicine initiative aims to make a difference to children with life-limiting conditions and it has been shown that singing brings feeling of well-being to the patients that need it most.

Annabel recorded the video for the charity, which also stars her Mum, Rebecca. She also created the ‘ident’ sound for the singing medicine logo seen at the beginning of the film, working with a professional recording engineer and producer (remotely of course!).  You can view her video below.
